  • I have been using these earbuds for 5 months now (with an android phone) and they have worked well to this day without any issues.Connection: Earbuds instantly connect to your phone the moment you open the case. You can use either one at a time with no issues. It never disconnects or drops out on connection.Sound: I am no expert, but it works well for music/podcast listening experience. I do not expect a top tier quality sound from a $17 pair of earbuds. I mainly use it for podcasts and the voice comes through nice and clear without any noticeable lab between the sound and the video.Microphone: The mics are good. I do not know if they are noise cancelling or not but the person on the other hand never complained about my voice being choppy when talking to the earbuds, unless it was very windy near me or any other loud construction noises were present. It is a good microphone that picks up my voice well.Water Resistant: I have not used it for any physical activities or in rain to test to for sweat or water resistance.Fit: The design is very similar to Airpods and that is why they comfortably slide in and out of my ears. You barely even notice that they are there. I do not use them for physical activity because of my ear shape they do not sit deep enough to have a strong fit, so they would fall out if I tried to run with them. But if airpods fit well for your ears then these will too without any issues.Case: Super small and pocketable case with type-c charging slot. One of the smallest earbuds cases I have seen. It also has an LED light for the battery level indication.Controls: It has easy to use touch controls for when you are using a single or both earbuds.Battery Life: I do not know the exact number on the battery life, but it lasts me a whole week without having to charge it. The LED light on the case is a nice way to know the battery percentage. The earbuds say \"battery low\" when you are wearing them and they have very low charge left.Charging: I love the type-c charging on it. It makes it better than the airpods for me. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours for the case to fully charge. As for the earbuds they hold a 7-hour charge, so I never really ran out of battery to the point where I had to wait for them to charge to be used again.Overall: It is unbelievable that this pair of earbuds exist for only $17. It makes no sense to look in any other direction if you are looking for an Airpods style design with type-c charging and a matte black finish.
  • I\'ve owned the first and second generation of the original product that these are inspired by, you know, the expensive one that only comes in white. Both pairs had the microphones stop working after a while, and both pairs would do weird things when connecting to my phone, sometimes refusing to connect even after multiple resets... so I decided to give these cheaper ones a try.Wow... these far exceeded my expectations. This review will compare them to the other brand as a point of reference. I\'ve been using them exclusively and extensively for the last three days, and this review is based on that experience.Sound quality: Different, but about the same quality. They emphasize different parts of the sound, but I wouldn\'t call either one better than the other -- some songs sound better on one, some better on the other. Since I mostly use this style of headphone for convenience when I\'m doing other things they\'re effectively equivalent -- if I care about sound quality I sit in a quiet spot and wear big over-the-head cans.Pairing: Initial setup is ever so slightly longer on an iPhone -- with the other brand you open the case, a prompt pops up, push connect, and you\'re done. With these you have to go into bluetooth settings and add them the first time, an extra 30 seconds, one time.Connecting, after pairing: Super simple... just open the case, they connect and are ready to go. The plus is that they\'re ready to go once they\'re in your ear, the drawback is that they don\'t detect when they\'re in your ear, so they steal your audio before you\'ve got them in your ear -- usually no big deal.Switching devices: I\'ve had no problem switching devices -- I\'ve paired them to a Linux laptop for Zoom calls, and an iPhone, and switch back and forth, though I do have to disconnect one to get the other to connect if they\'re both in range. Whichever I used last is the one it connects to by default when opened.Controls: This is a HUGE win for these, with a few minor losses. These use a touch control rather than tap. Took me a few minutes to realize that and I was struggling to get the controls to work. I like the touch better since the tapping transmits the tapping sound into your ears -- touching is much quieter. The drawback of touch is that it doesn\'t work with gloves and you have to be careful how and where you touch them if you temporarily remove them or adjust them to avoid accidental operations. The other brand has the ability to auto-pause when one is removed, which is convenient when somebody starts to talk to you as it\'s much faster than the double touch. The other brand also only has one (configurable) control per side, whereas these have basically everything w/ different tap patterns. That said, I do wish that the double-tap duration was a bit shorter so that I could adjust the volume a little bit faster -- trying to adjust the volume multiple steps does require patience to avoid accidentally double or triple-tapping.Battery Life: These blow away my old gen 2 of the other brand, but they are a few years old and are probably degraded, so it\'s not a fair comparisson. The battery life is great. I also like that the case battery indicator is on the outside of the case, easier to see. A slight negative, the battery status is reported to the phone as a single value, not a value per side, and the case battery status is not available other than through it\'s build-in LED -- doesn\'t bother me much, to be honest.Appearance: Basically the same as the other brand, but I chose black, which I like better and isn\'t available in the others.A few minor caveats:I\'ve noticed a few times per day that the audio gets ever so slightly out of sync L to R for about 2 seconds, and then fixes itself. It\'s a weird effect, but doesn\'t happen very often.USB-C is great for Android users who have USB-C phones, but for iPhone users it is inconvenient to have to use a different charging cable, but most of the time I can just charge at home, so I don\'t care.
  • I bought these because I often wear earbuds at work. I have problems with wax build up in my ears if I wear earbuds with tips that go in my ears. I wanted to try Air Pods but I use Android so buying expensive earbuds designed to work with Apple made no sense for me. So I got these just to see if I could wear this style of earbuds. They work really well, pairing every time, the touch controls work, and they charge with usb-c not Lightning so I can just use my phone charger.Keeping in mind the low price the sound quality is good. I usually listen to NPR or podcasts with 1 earbud at work, or music with both and stereo separation is good and they are not too bassy, which I prefer. There are better earbuds for music, but for convenience and comfort in an office environment these work well. They stay in my ears when I go for walks and I tried them cycling, above 20 mph wind roar drowns them out more than in ear buds, but on the other hand it\'s easier to hear ambient sounds. I got the black ones so I don\'t look like everyone else. Worth a try if you\'re curious about this style of buds.
